After cutting the thread, the tool's inner cutting part is quickly disengaged, and the facing cutter is used for the surfaces. There is no need to reposition the tool, ensuring a 100% parallel bottom bracket facing surface.

Note: Facing the seating surfaces is absolutely essential to ensure that bottom brackets with external supports and bearing races (e.g., for Campagnolo Ultra Torque, Shimano Hollowtech II) are mounted exactly parallel in the frame.

Caution: The letters on the tool always refer to the tool itself. For example, if an ''R'' is applied on one side, it is a standard thread with a right-hand rotation direction - clockwise. If an ''L'' is applied, the rotation direction is left-hand - counterclockwise. It does not refer to the side of the bicycle, as there is no fixed reference system in this context.
