The new CYCLUS TOOLS crank puller is the indispensable professional tool for safely removing the crank arm from the bottom bracket spindle, even in the most complex cases. When the crank arm has been firmly fixed to the axle by tightening and applying the correct torque to the bolts, a specific puller is required to disassemble it without damage. But how to proceed when the bottom bracket does not have the traditional conical coupling surfaces, as is the case on many e-bikes? In these situations (threaded bottom bracket), the position of the crank arm is determined exclusively by the screw connections and the standard removal method is no longer applicable.

The solution is the new Cyclus crank puller, equipped with a long-stroke puller (over 20 mm). This innovative tool allows for the quick, safe, and professional removal of both traditional and newer, deeper crank arms.

To make the best use of the new CYCLUS TOOLS puller, the following essential components are required:

• Crank arm internal thread: M22x1


• Bottom bracket connection thread: M15x1

Special note: with the help of the CYCLUS TOOLS cutter (art. 720235) it is possible to first ream the damaged crank arm threads (M22x1) and then cut a new M24x1 thread using the CYCLUS TOOLS tap (art. 720245). At the end of the operation, you will not only remove the crank arm but also repair it. Your customer will greatly appreciate this additional service.

Important: make sure you have the Cyclus Tools insertion guides. Once the new thread is cut, you can use the Cyclus Tools mounting pullers and remove the crank arm as usual.
