After securely fixing the crank arm to the axle by tightening and applying the correct torque to the bolts, a special puller is required to safely remove the crank arm from the axle. What to do when the bottom bracket axle does not have tapered mating surfaces, such as on e-bikes? In this case (threaded bottom bracket), an additional support is necessary, as the position of the crank arm is determined solely by threaded connections and the standard removal method is no longer applicable.

We have the solution: the new Cyclus crank puller, with a longer stroke puller (over 20 mm). The new Cyclus crank puller allows for the quick, safe, and professional removal of both older and newer, deeper crank arms.

To make the best use of the new CYCLUS TOOLS crank puller, the following components are essential: crank internal thread M22x1, bottom bracket connection thread M10x1.

Special note: with the help of the CYCLUS TOOLS cutter (art. 720235), it is possible to first bore out damaged crank threads (M22x1) and then cut a new M24x1 thread using the CYCLUS TOOLS tap (art. 720245). Upon completion of the work, you will not only disassemble the crank arm but also repair it. Your customer will greatly appreciate this service.

Note: ensure you have the appropriate Cyclus Tools thread guides. Once a new thread has been cut, you can use the corresponding Cyclus Tools pullers and remove the crank arm as usual.
