After years of research and development, our engineers have made progress in maximizing the durability and responsiveness of a rim without adding material, allowing the next generation of Drive wheels to remain lightweight, despite the increased internal and external rim width to support wider tires. The Drive 50D II has been designed to be the perfect racing wheelset for all types of use, balancing weight and aerodynamics. It weighs only 1300 grams per pair. The U/V-shaped rim profile improves lateral airflow, increasing stability in fast descents and windy conditions. In addition to optimizing the rim design, the second-generation Drive wheels feature several improvements: a hooked rim for better aerodynamics, comfort, and traction; high-quality S&S ceramic bearings; 4.5 mm carbon spokes; and our exclusive Kinetic hub with a conical ratchet design.
