The chamois is the foundation of the exceptional comfort in the Premio line. The top-of-the-range Progetto X2 Air Seamless padding is actually made up of two distinct components: the Skin Care Layer, a soft, elasticized layer in contact with the skin, designed specifically to eliminate any chafing, and beneath it, the Cushioning Layer, which features two separate foam inserts with different densities and perforated, breathable gel inserts under the sit bones and perineum.
Comfort is further ensured by the shorts' construction, with only three panels and fewer seams. We have created a new fabric that adapts to the needs of various parts of the body. The lower leg features a raw-cut edge and gummed yarns that guarantee a flat grip to keep the leg in place. The fabric becomes lighter on the thigh, while the 4-way stretch material provides the right muscle support. In the pelvic area, compression and support increase to keep the chamois and everything else in place. At the back, the fabric is thicker to prevent any show-through.
The bib straps are also made from this high-quality fabric. The perforated back allows for thermoregulation, while the edge is bonded, rather than sewn, for a lower profile. The elastic fabric straps are soft and stretchy for perfect support and freedom of movement. The straps are also articulated to distribute the load over the shoulders for greater comfort. The straps taper where they join the shorts, offering greater breathability and eliminating unnecessary fabric on the chest.
The EVO Bibshort is finished with a small logo that is also present on the rest of the EVO kit, for an elegant and modern look.
